Where tradition meets illusion.
Geisha’s Garden: Handmade Quilt Using Geisha Panels and One Block Wonder Technique is a high-concept, museum-worthy piece by Brice Porter, founder of Men’s Textile Collective (MTC). Using seven unique geisha panelsand coordinating fabrics, this one-of-a-kind quilt was designed and pieced entirely by hand over the course of 180 hours.
Measuring 70" x 74" (177.8 cm x 188 cm), this quilt transforms a traditional Japanese subject into a kaleidoscope of intricate hexagonal blocks — a hallmark of the One Block Wonder technique. With careful cutting, placement, and balance, Brice has allowed each original panel to ripple outward into abstraction while preserving its cultural grace.
Crafted from 100% cotton, the quilt is delicate and should be dry cleaned only. As with all MTC Originals, your purchase supports textile therapy programs for veterans and first responders.
